Immerse yourself in starry skies on a guided astronomy excursion with Dark Sky Project. You'll join the global astro-tourism leader in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, where you'll start in an indoor auditorium with expert astronomy guides who will introduce the latest virtual technology and show you the spectacular Southern Cross and secrets of the cosmos. Then, you'll delight in a two-course dinner with views of Lake Takapō before venturing outside to Mt John Observatory to stargaze with high-powered telescopes and witness the Milky Way, distant planets, star clusters, constellations, and far-off galaxies. - Experience is valid until 30 April 2025, starting at 4:30 p.m. with the last dinner seating at 7:30 p.m. and the summit experience recommended to be from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m

- Please dress for a night among the stars, as the summit's altitude calls for warm clothing and sturdy footwear, regardless of the season

- Dinner is provided at Dark Sky Diner, located at Dark Sky Project Base on the Takapō (Tekapō) lakefront at 1 Motuariki Lane from 4.30pm to 8.30pm
- Summit experience is at recommended to be at 9pm – 10pm
- No show or cancellation will incur a 100% charge
