Transilvania International Film Festival

Founded in 2002, the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) is the first and largest festival dedicated to feature-length films in Romania and one of the most important events of its kind in the region, with over 100,000 participants at each edition. TIFF takes place annually in the heart of Transylvania, in Cluj-Napoca, a modern city with a rich history. Since 2021, thanks to TIFF, Cluj-Napoca has been part of the UNESCO City of Film network. Open to both the general public and industry professionals, the Transilvania International Film Festival screens over 250 films, cine-concerts, and concerts, as well as related events such as art exhibitions or meetings between filmmakers and the public, during its 10-day run at each edition.
