Director, writer, and screenwriter. He directed the films La Cordillera and La Patota, among others. However, it was the making of his film "Argentina, 1985", that brought him worldwide fame, earning him an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film and winning more than 15 awards around the world.
