Clos Malverne in Stellenbosch is a family affair, but they have an international reputation with about 70 percent of their wines being exported to international destinations including the UK, Irelands, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, the USA and more.
No time or effort has been spared by Seymour and his wife Sophia in their wine making, but also in creating a lifestyle destination for guests. They make traditional handcrafted wines, using open fermenters and basket presses in the most natural way possible. In 1995 they were one of the first wineries to produce a Cape Blend which became their flagship wine. Clos Malverne Auret has won five-star status in the Platter Wine Guide and was South African Red Wine Champion in 2001.The cherry on top of a visit here is to stay and be pampered at the day spa.
