Emanuele Ridi was born in 1973 in the town of Portoferraio on the Mediterranean island of Elba, where he gained his first experience with gastronomy. He has been living in the Czech Republic since 1992. To the general public he is "Italem v kuchyni", the hero of favorite cookery series, while to his friends he is Manú. And the name Manú was chosen as the name of the new restaurant, which was opened in the spring of 2019 and based on Revoluční Street, Manú Praga is another place of Emanuel's love for his native country.
