Demian Repucci is the designer and owner of Bruno Pizza. After studying architecture, Demian got into restaurant design with a few restaurants in Chicago, Most notably he designed a portion of Blackbird Restaurant and in 2002, he was a winner of the James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Restaurant Design for his work. Relocating to New York, Demian designed and consulted on many restaurant projects. He also interned in the kitchens of such restaurants as London's St. John and River Cafe, and New York's Blue Hill. Demian designed and opened Bruno Pizza in July 2015, winning a second James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Restaurant Design for Bruno in 2016. He has been striving to perfect artisanal Neapolitan style pizza ever since.
