On November 29, 2024, in Dublin, Ireland, the award-winning Jean-Georges at The Leinster hosted the latest Taste Club, a thrilling culinary journey through a fusion of rich and vibrant flavours.
Perched atop the city's latest luxury hotel, the elegant rooftop restaurant from world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten provided the perfect setting for the event, in partnership with Mastercard and Taste of Dublin. With a breathtaking panorama of the skyline as a backdrop, a select group of diners savoured a multicourse menu specially curated by head chef Ross Bryans, featuring dishes as elevated as the lofty dining room.
It was a parade of delicacies, each more imaginative than the last. Dish highlights included the restaurant's famous egg toast with caviar, tuna tartare with a zingy ginger marinade, parmesan-crusted chicken in lemon butter, and a gently spiced pumpkin crème brûlée with pomegranate sorbet.
Redbreast, a brand of single-pot still Irish whiskey renowned for its rich, complex flavours and smooth finish, was also on hand with drinks for the evening. Among Redbreast cocktails served was the Pink Lady, a bubbly and refreshing low-ABV highball that was the perfect way to kick off the meal in style. The Butter, meanwhile, offered a delightfully modern take on the classic Old Fashioned cocktail, with subtle—and delectable—hints of brown butter.
