On July 31, 2024, Naas' award-winning restaurant Neighbourhood, held an incredible Taste Club. Mastercard, in partnership with Taste of Dublin, curated the exceptional evening for passionate foodies who seek to indulge their love for all things gourmet. Guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fresh local produce and the diverse flavours of Ireland.
Neighbourhood was founded in 2023 with a vision to celebrate the unique tastes and rich flavours of Ireland in Naas. Head Chef Gareth Naughton boasts over 15 years of cooking experience and has developed his culinary style by working in various Michelin-starred restaurants throughout Ireland and abroad.
To kick things off, guests were offered a Tipperary-Bred Beef Cheek Croquette with Black Garlic and Tarragon. After that came a choice of dishes over the remaining three courses. With stand outs being the grilled Currach Scallops with Scallop Roe "Nduja, Chicken Fat Aioli, White Coco Beans and Lemon Foam and the Banana and Malt Banoffee with Salted Caramel and Praline.
Each savoury course was thoughtfully paired with a drink from Fercullen Whiskey. Fercullen Irish Whiskey is crafted in the Powerscourt Distillery. The distillery offers a range of award-winning Single Malt, Single Grain and Blended Irish whiskeys under their Fercullen brand name.
